New Bajaj Pulsar N160 Officially Launched: Nepal Launch Soon

Bajaj Auto has officially launched its new motorcycle Pulsar N160. The Pulsar N160 is built on the same new platform as the Pulsar 250 which was launched in October last year. Bajaj Pulsar N160’s design bears a lot of similarities with the N250 in terms of design. The Bajaj Pulsar N160 in Nepal is set to make its debut in the coming days. We expect the new Pulsar to debut in a month or more. According to the company, the new Pulsar N160 packs an exciting proposition that is built to deliver the perfect street riding experience. 


Bajaj Pulsar N160 is powered by a 160.3cc, oil-cooled, Twin Spark BS6 DTS-i FI engine that generates a 16 PS of power and 14.65 NM of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It is available with both single-channel and dual-channel ABS. The dual-channel ABS variant gets a 300 mm disc at the front while the single-channel ABS gets a 280mm front disc. Both variants are equipped with 230mm rear discs. It also comes with a 31 mm telescopic fork for the single-channel ABS and a 37 mm telescopic fork for the dual-channel ABS variant. 


Bajaj Pulsar N160 comes with features such as USB mobile charging, gear position indicator, distance to fuel empty readout, twin vertical LED tail lamps, Y-shaped alloy wheels, split grab rails, and a projector headlight with LED DRLs as well. The indicators are bulbs, whereas the taillight is LED. Its body panels, trapezoidal rear view mirrors, seat design, swingarm, grab rails and taillamp are similar to the Pulsar N250. It also comes with the new fuel tank that now gets longer extensions.


The new N160 gets a 14-liter fuel tank. The single-channel ABS variant weighs 152 kg while the dual-channel ABS variant weighs 154 kg making it one of the heaviest bikes in the 160cc segment. Pulsar N160 is fastest in the 160cc segment in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear in terms of passing acceleration (30-70 kmph). It also comes with 17-inch wheels including wider tires (100/80-17 F, 130/70-17 R) to provide better stability and control. The new motorbike also gets an underbelly exhaust, which makes the motorcycle look a little sleeker.


Bajaj Pulsar N160 is offered in 4 colors. SIngle-Channel ABS variant comes in 3 color options including Blue, Red, and Grey. While the Black color is exclusively for the dual ABS variant of Pulsar N160. Bajaj Pulsar N160 price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 3.50 lakhs to NRs. 4.00 lakhs. Once launched in Nepal, it will compete against the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 160R, Yamaha FZ-S Fi V3.0, Suzuki Gixxer, and Honda X-Blade.
