Japanese two-wheeler Company, Suzuki has officially launched its much-awaited adventure bike, the V-Strom 250. The Suzuki V-Strom 250 is a small-capacity adventure bike that shares its design and features with the global Inazuma 250. The brand has already been selling this bike in global markets since 2017. V.G. Automobiles, the only authorized distributor of Suzuki motorcycles and scooters in Nepal, is also set to launch an all-new Suzuki V-Strom 250 adventure bike in Nepal in the coming days.
The V-Strom SX ADV is powered by a 249c, single-cylinder engine with the Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS). The engine produces 26.5HP of maximum power at 9300 rpm and 22.2Nm of peak torque at 7300 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The V-Strom gets a solid 205mm of ground clearance including 19-inch and 17-inch tires slapped at the front and rear respectively. Braking duties are covered by discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS. The V-Strom is suspended on a telescopic fork upfront and a monoshock at the rear.
The V-Strom 250 SX’s styling resembles that of the bigger V-Storms. It is clearly inspired by the larger 650cc and 1050cc V-Strom versions. Suzuki V-Storm is equipped with unique features like a USB charging port, Suzuki Easy Start System, full-LED lighting system, and a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument cluster that connects with the rider’s smartphone and offers information like turn-by-turn navigation, alerts on incoming messages, calls, and WhatsApp, speed exceeding warnings, phone battery level and many more.
The V-Strom 250 SX comes with a LED headlight and halogen indicators inspired by the Gixxer 250. It also includes a fully digital instrument cluster, decent-sized windscreen, knuckle guards, signature ADV beak, sporty rearview mirrors, sculpted fuel tank, split seats, and an upswept exhaust. Suzuki has also increased the length of the subframe of V-Storm making it easy for both the rider and the pillion to move around. The V-Strom borrows its small 12-liter tank too from the Gixxer 250.
The V-Strom SX ADV is offered in three vibrant colors Black, Orange, and Yellow. Once launched in Nepal, the Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 will go up against the likes of KTM 250 Adventure, Benelli TRK 251, Yezdi Adventure, and the Royal Enfield Himalayan. According to the company, the new Suzuki V-Strom is a multi-purpose motorcycle that is capable of handling regular commuting, light off-roading, tough terrain, and long-distance highway cruising. The Suzuki V-Strom 250 price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 5.00 Lakhs.
