Japanese two-wheeler maker, Honda is all set to launch the next-gen model of the CBR150R in Nepal. Honda officially revealed the new model of the CBR150R sportbike in Indonesia back in 2021. Syakar Trading Company Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Honda bikes in Nepal, is set to bring CBR150R to the Nepalese market by July 2022. The Honda CBR 150R comes as a younger sibling to the popular CBR 250R and shares a lot of design cues with the 250R. It also takes design cues from the CBR500R and CBR650R.

Mechanically, the engine of CBR150R remains the same and it continues to be powered by the same 149.1cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine that generates a 17.1HP of maximum power and 14.4Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The motorcycle is equipped with a 276mm front disc brake and a 220mm rear disc brake. It is also available with ABS and one without ABS as an option. The suspension duties are handled by USD forks at the front end and a monoshock at the rear end.

The new model is equipped with the same all-digital instrument console as the old-gen model that shows information including fuel consumption data and gear position.  It’s also equipped with golden USD front forks and a funky split headlight setup with twin LED headlights. The bike also features a slip-and-assist clutch and a separate function big-piston front fork from Showa.

Honda offers the CBR150R in two variants including ABS and non-ABS. The new bike is available in five colors options including Dominator Matte Black, Matte Black, Victory Black Red, Honda Racing Red, and Orange-White (MotoGP Edition). The most direct competitor to the Honda CBR150R is the Yamaha R15 V3 in the Nepalese market. Honda's CBR150R price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 5.00 Lakhs.
