2022 New Mahindra Scorpio-N Revealed: Nepal Launch Soon

Mahindra has announced that its upcoming next-generation Scorpio, will be christened the Mahindra Scorpio-N. Mahindra and Mahindra recently announced that the new Scorpio-N will be revealed in full on June 27, with a price announcement likely to follow thereafter.  The all-new Mahindra Scorpio-N has been digitally unveiled for now and according to the company, the new highly anticipated SUV will make it to the Nepalese market in the coming months. Mahindra Scorpio-N is built on a new body-on-frame platform and it will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. 




The petrol version of the Scorpio-N is expected to be powered by a 2.0-liter mStallion 150 TGDi engine that generates a 150bhp at 5,000rpm. It comes with a six-speed manual unit that produces 300Nm between 1,250-3,000rpm as well as an automatic transmission unit that generates 320bhp between 1,500-3,000rpm. The diesel version is expected to be powered by a 2.2-liter mHawk 130 engine that generates a 130bhp at 3,750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1,600-2,800rpm. Both the engines can be had either with manual or automatic transmission options.




Mahindra Scorpio-N will be equipped with advanced modern features and the latest technology. It comes with the slatted new grille with chrome vertical slats, dual-projector headlamps with sequential turn indicators, a new bumper with a honeycomb mesh pattern, and new C-shaped LED DRLs on both ends. The Scorpio-N gets a set of dual-tone twin-spoke alloy wheels featuring silver highlights on the cladding. The rear section is highlighted by Volvo-like signature LED taillights. The interior has not been revealed for now but the new car is expected to get a sunroof, multi-function steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and leather upholstery. 




According to Mahindra, the all new Scorpio-N in Nepal is set to make debut next month.There will not be any direct rival to the Scorpio in Nepal for now. Once launched in Nepal, we expect that the Tata Harrier, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar could be considered as the Scorpio-N as an alternative. The new Mahindra Scorpio-N price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 50 lakhs to NRs. 80 lakhs. The Scorpio-N will be sold alongside the existing model, which will be called the Scorpio Classic.
