Mahindra To Launch Electric Hatchback e2o NXT In Nepal

Mahindra will give its electric hatchback, e20 a facelift soon. The electric car will also receive a new suffix, ‘NXT’ and will be launch compared to its predecessor, the upcoming facelift is likely to be more premium. With the addition of key styling elements such as reworked headlamps with LED units, and funkier alloy wheels, the facelift gets a refreshing look. Changes on the outside will be subtle as it will retain the four-door setup from the current model. Changes will also be made to the rear and it could sport side skirts for a sportier look. hed under the ‘Mahindra e20 NXT’ nameplate. 

Compared to its predecessor, the upcoming facelift is likely to be more premium. Changes on the outside will be subtle as it will retain the four-door setup from the current model. Changes will also be made to the rear and it could sport side skirts for a sportier look. 

On the inside, it will feature beige upholstery and dashboard inserts. Additionally, the dashboard layout has been slightly restyled. The insides of the upcoming Mahindra e20 NXT are likely to be more feature rich. Among the prominent tech, expect the EV to receive a larger, tablet-like touchscreen infotainment system which is expected to get connectivity features including a Bluetooth system, USB port, and AUX-in, etc. 

Mahindra e20 NXT specifications will include a 3-Phase Induction Motor with maximum power of 40bhp at 3,500rpm and peak torque of 91Nm at 2,000rpm. It will use a direct drive transmission for channelizing power. There will additionally be a 72V battery and the facelift is expected to return an impressive range.

Expected to be powered by a 3-Phase Induction Motor which will work in conjunction with a 72V battery, the new Mahindra e20 NXT will offer around 140km of range. If charged with regular charger, the EV is expected to be charged within 9 hours, whereas the time will reduce to 90 minutes if charged through fast charger. The EV is expected to offer a top speed f 80 km/h.

In terms of safety, expect the Mahindra e20 NXT to retain the current features. It will reportedly receive additional tech, details on which are sketchy yet. However, expect the EV to come with prominent bits such as airbags, ABS with EBD, among several others. The Mahindra e20 NXT is primarily a facelift version of the Mahindra’s e20 EV which is expected to receive subtle cosmetic changes along with new equipment. With a claimed range of 140km, the EV should be able to strengthen its customer base in Nepal.
