The updated 2021 KTM 125 Duke will be launched in a few weeks and we have all the details about the revamped 125 Duke from a leaked image. The smallest member of the venerable KTM Duke family has got much-needed aesthetic upgrade. The design of the 2021 KTM 125 Duke will be derived from the larger Duke 200 engine. Most of its parts - from the headlamp, fuel tank, tank extensions, rear panels, and even the LCD screen- look identical to the Duke 200. The only visual difference between the new Duke 125 and 200 variants will be the color themes and decals. The launch date is yet to be confirmed for KTM 125 Duke in Nepal.
Do not expect any change in the conditions of the powertrain. It will continue to be powered by a 124 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine complying with BS6 engine with 14.95 hp and 12 Nm of peak torque. So, with USD WP front forks and WP rear monoshock braking duties are covered along with a 300mm rotor at the front and 230mm rotor at the back with ABS at the front. Transmission duties would be carried out by the same 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle in the leaked image has a white fuel tank and striking orange extensions. Details of more color options will be revealed near the launch.
Don't expect any changes to the hardware of the motorbike either, except for the new bolt-on subframe. The USD fork, monoshock, wheels, tires, and brakes remain the same. The wheels, brakes, USD front fork, and monoshock are the same as before. The 125 Duke is likely to get a larger 13.4-liter fuel tank. The kerb weight will probably go up as well. This design refresh was expected as the 125 remains the only Duke offered for sale that does not feature a more aggressive, sharp, and styling design. The 125 Duke will be offered with halogen headlight and LED DRLs just like the 200 and 250 Duke.
Due to design updates, KTM is expected to raise the price of 125 Duke in Nepal. Moreover, the revamped baby KTM should help strengthen KTM’s position in the Nepalese market. We expect the motorcycle to go on sale by the end of December and in Nepal, it is expected to arrive at dealerships by the 2021. For more information about auto news in Nepal, stay tuned with us. A Husqvarna electric motorcycle and scooter are also expected to join sometime next year.
