Nissan Magnite has been officially launched across the certain Asian market making it the newest entrant in the compact SUV segment. Nissan Magnite in Nepal is reportedly set to be launched in the year 2021. The company also announced that prices are introductory and will increase from January 1, 2021. For now, the Nissan Magnite is offered in four main trim levels: XE, XL, XV and XV Premium. The sales performance by Nissan in Nepal has not been encouraging over the last few years. Now, with the Magnite, the company is considering the highly competitive subcompact SUV segment.
Additionally, Magnite has a long list of trimmings that include dual-projector LED headlights with LED DRLs, 16-inch diamond-cut aluminum wheels, electrically adjustable and foldable rearview mirrors, roof rails, as well as dummy skid plates at both front and rear. It also gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a segment-first wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The SUV is also available with the option of a turbocharged gasoline engine in combination with an automatic gearbox. The SUV has an octagonal grille surrounded by chrome that is reminiscent of the new Datsun Redi-Go.
In terms of elegance, the compact SUV is well proportioned and has a rugged appearance, highlighted by its strong body lines. The Magnite gets dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, speed alert system, reverse parking sensors, etc. as standard and the top-end trim gets VDC (vehicle dynamics control), hill start assists, traction control, and reverse parking camera with 360-degree view and bird's eye view. For Magnite XV and XV Premium models, Nissan also offers an optional technology package. This bundle adds equipment like wireless charging, air purification, ambient lighting, puddle lamps, and JBL speakers.
The Magnite is a sub-compact SUV and will rival the likes of Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and so on. The Nepal launch of the Nissan Magnite subcompact SUV is just a few months away. If some rumors are something to go by, the upcoming Nissan Magnite is expected to be launched in Nepal by 2021. The figure looks quite competitive and if the company manages to bring the vehicle at the right price, then the Magnite holds some good chances against its competition.
