Volvo C70 To Be Launched In Nepal By 2020
The luxurious convertible Volvo V70 was first showcased at the 2008 Auto Expo. However, without a clear mandate and unfavorable market conditions, the Swedish automaker had put the plan of the C70’s debut in Nepal on the back burner. Now, however, according to fresh reports, speculations are rife yet again, about a possible commercial debut of the Volvo C70 in the Nepalese market. The Volvo C70 with its retractable hardtop has been turning heads since its launch in the international market and proves conclusively that sleek and stylish design of the vehicle can sit comfortably with class and can lead safety innovations.
Volvo C70 is one of the most good-looking cars in the market. The car is a luxury convertible with a retractable hardtop. It offers the experience of luxury convertible and sportiness of a coupe. The car does grab a lot of attention as this car is a looker. The swept-back headlamps and the company logo fitted in the center of its stylish grille that further enhances its appeal. The side profile of the car looks sporty thanks to the classy alloy wheels, elegant character lines, and body-coloured door handles and ORVMs. The car comes in two-door guise. The car accelerates so effortlessly that you would cross illegal speeds without even realizing. It takes about 7.6 seconds for crossing the speed barrier of 100 Kmph from a standstill. The car is available in several engine variants and these include 2.4L, 2.4i and T5 along with two diesel variants that include 2.0 and D5. In Nepal, Volvo C70 is expected to launch the T5 variant. The engine of T5 can discharge 230 bhp of power along with torque of 320 Nm and it is offered with the choice of six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission.
Stopping power might be supplied by ventilated disc brakes up front and disc brakes at the rear. On the safety front, Volvo C70is expected to be loaded with some vital aspects like ABS (Anti Lock Braking System), EBS (Electronic Brake Force Distribution), ESP (Electronic Stability Program), ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor), Traction Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System etc. Other safety aspects include head & shoulder airbags, door-mounted inflatable curtains, rollover protection, central locking, remote central locking, parking sensors, engine immobilizer and front and rear seatbelt pre-tensioners.
