Two-wheelers manufacturer, Yamaha has officially launched the MT-15 Version 2.0. The updated naked streetfighter is based on its faired sports bike sibling R15 V4 which was launched back in September 2021. Bookings for it had begun earlier this month, and now the motorcycle has gone on sale across the certain Asian market. The MT-15 Version 2.0. in Nepal is also set to make its debut in the coming months. It now comes with new features, some hardware changes, and new color options.

The MT-15 Version 2.0 continues to be powered by the same engine as the outgoing model. It is powered by a 155cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 18.14 bhp and a torque of 14.1 nm and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. With both front and rear disc brakes, Yamaha MT 15 V2 comes up with an anti-locking braking system. The Yamaha MT-15 now gets upside-down front forks which are finished in gold and feature 37mm inner tubes. Yamaha has replaced the MT-15’s box-section swingarm with a MotoGP-inspired aluminum swingarm.

The MT-15 Version 2.0 features a newly designed fully digital LCD display. It also includes a single-pod projector LED headlamp with eyebrows-shaped LED DRLs, muscular bodywork, a raised tail section, and a side-slung upswept exhaust muffler. It is also equipped with a Bluetooth-compatible instrument cluster that displays call, e-mail, and SMS alerts, maintenance reminders, last parked location, fuel consumption, and malfunction alerts on the Yamaha Y-Connect app. Turn-by-turn navigation is something that does feature on its faired sibling.

The Yamaha MT 15 V2 comes with two new color options including Cyan Storm and Racing Blue which will be available alongside the existing Ice Fluo-Vermillion and Metallic Black color schemes. Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 doesn’t have any direct rivals in the Nepalese market, however, KTM 125 Duke and TVS Apache RTR160 4V are its closest competitors.
