Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for the launch of the 2022 Ertiga facelift in Nepal. According to the company,  pre-bookings for the updated MPV have already begun across certain Asian markets. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift is expected to be launched towards the end of May in the Nepalese market. Suzuki is also gearing up to introduce the facelift version of  XL6. Both MPVs have already been spied testing many times ahead of launch. The new Ertiga will be offered with seven seats and will sit below the XL6 in Maruti Suzuki’s line-up. 

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has received subtle cosmetic updates on its exterior and interior as well as major updates under the hood. The MPV will come with a new grille and revised headlamps with LED projector units. The new bumper looks quite muscular and is accentuated by the bold lines in the hood and profile of the MPV. The Ertiga comes with a host of features including the new 7-inch display with SmartPlay Pro Touch Screen Infotainment System, featuring Suzuki Connect, Maruti connected car technology.

The new Ertiga will come with a more fuel-efficient next-gen K-series 1.5-litre Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine paired with the company Smart Hybrid technology. The new 1.5-litre K15C Dualjet petrol mill can generate 115 PS of power as opposed to 105 PS to the outgoing K15B unit. It can also generate 138 Nm of torque. Additionally, the outdated 4-speed automatic gearbox will be replaced by a new 6-speed unit with paddle shifters as well. According to the company, there will be a manual version as well. 

The upcoming 2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in Nepal will be offered in four trims including LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+. The optional 6-speed automatic transmission will be offered with the VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+ trims, while the CNG version will be offered with the VXI and ZXI trims. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will come in seven color options including Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Magma Grey, Auburn Red, Prime Oxford Blue, Pearl Dignity Brown, and Midnight Black shades. The Ertiga facelift will rival the likes of Mahindra Marazzo and the upcoming Kia Carens.
