Mahindra XUV700 SUV Launched; Nepal Launch Soon

Mahindra has officially announced the launch of the Mahindra XUV700. As per the latest report, the bookings of the XUV700 will begin from October in the Nepalese market. The prices could be announced on the same date as well. The XUV700 will most likely replace the XUV500 in the company’s product line-up. Mahindra XUV700 is being offered in five as well as seven-seat layouts. The Mahindra XUV700 will be available in the MX and AX series and a total of 4 trims including MX Gasoline, MX Diesel, AdrenoX AX3 petrol, and AdrenoX AX3 gasoline.


The Mahindra XUV 700 will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. While the petrol engine produces 200 hp of power and 380 Nm of torque. The diesel engine is offered in two distinct tunings set up with one offering 155 hp and 360 Nm while the other belting out 185 hp and offers around 420 Nm of torque. Both the engine options come with a choice of a manual and automatic gearbox with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission option. The new XUV700 is also offered with an optional AWD feature. 


The  Mahindra XUV 700 comes with various safety features including Auto Booster headlamps, personalized safety alerts, smart door handles, and many others. The main purpose of Auto Booster headlamps is to automatically switch on additional lights to boost the headlamps when the SUV crosses the 80 km/h mark.  The XUV 700 also gets a new panoramic sunroof which is 1360 mm in length and 870 mm in breadth. It will be the biggest sunroof in its segment. The car also gets a new advanced safety feature including Driver Drowsiness Detection, ADAS (Advanced driver-assistance systems), 360 camera view, 7 airbags, and many more.


Mahindra is expected to officially launch the XUV700 in Nepal either in late August or sometime in September. It’s then expected to go on sale in the Nepalese market by October 2021. The XUV700 will compete in the Nepalese market with the likes of Hyundai Alcazar and Creta, Tata Safari, Kia Seltos, MG Hector and Hector Plus, and even the newly launched Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. The SUV also gets 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment and digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, and built-in Alexa.
