Honda has officially launched the much-awaited CB650R naked bike and the updated CBR650R. The bookings for the 2021 Honda CBR650R and the Honda CB650R have opened across certain Asian markets including India and Indonesia. According to the company, Honda is all set to launch the 2021 Honda CB650R and CBR650R in the Nepalese market by end of 2021. The date is yet to be revealed. Honda recently launched the H’Ness CB350 and its scrambler version of CB350 RS and CB500X adventure tourer.

Honda CB650R are powered by a 649cc, DOHC, 16-valve, in-line 4-cylinder engine that develops 86hp of maximum power and 57.5Nm of peak torque. Both the models feature an assist/slipper clutch and Honda selectable torque control which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. There are dual discs at the front with four-piston calipers and one disc at the back. Also, two-channel ABS is standard. The 650 siblings sit on a twin-tube type frame which also gets 5-spoke Y-shaped aluminum wheels.
The 2021 Honda CBR650R is equipped with a host of features including dual LED headlights and an LED taillight. Similarly, Honda CB650R gets a circular LED headlight and LED taillight. Both bikes include a digital LCD instrument panel with other features like an emergency stop signal and a Honda ignition security system. The 2021 Honda CBR650R comes with two color options Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic while the Honda CB650R comes with Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic paint schemes.
As has become the norm with Honda’s large-capacity products, the pricing is quite high. The Nepalese market price for both bikes is yet to be announced. The Honda CB650R and CBR650R have no direct rivals in Nepal but will go up against the Triumph Trident 660, which is due to be launched by end of the year. The two Hondas will also go up against the likes of Kawasaki Z900 and the Triumph Street Triple R.
