Honda is keen to enhance its market share in the highly competitive Nepalese two-wheeler market and in an attempt to achieve that target, the Japanese brand is gearing up to roll out some exciting products here. One of them is the Honda PCX maxi scooter. Upon arrival in the Nepalese market, this could be a very interesting premium scooter, considering the fact that the Nepalese market doesn’t have any maxi scooter yet on offer.
The Honda PCX is available in various engine options in the global market, but in the market, it would be available with a 125 cc engine. It will target the young generation urban buyers who want premiums, sportiness and fun to ride experience in a single package. The maxi scooters are already pretty popular in several South East Asian markets. Honda believes they can be popular in the Nepalese market as well if priced rightly.
Speaking of its design, the Honda PCX 125 takes design inspiration from its bigger siblings and it looks very charming indeed. It gets sharp and large powerful LED headlamp positioned at the centre of the front cowl. The front cowl appears with a very layered look. A fully digital instrument cluster is there with the informative display. Also, there is a tall windshield and wide handlebars. The scooter offers a very spacious footboard area ensuring comfortable riding experience.
The seats come with wide appearance and well cushioned to offer the rider and pillion rider comfortable seating experience. At the back, there is a prominent grab rail and a LED taillight. So far, the scooter looks very attractive from every angle and expect this model to be available in different interesting colour options. It is also expected to get several features like a large under seat storage compartment with USB charging port. There would be an infotainment system as well as adding premiums.
Honda PCX will come offering impressive fuel efficiency for sure. Expect it to return around 30 kmpl of fuel efficiency. However, the exact mileage figure is yet to be revealed by the brand and we can expect to know more in coming days. Honda PCX 125 will surely offer impressive performance and this 124.4 kg weighing maxi scooter ensure great handling capacity. So far, the rider will experience a very comfortable riding experience with this scooter.
Honda PCX 125 will come powered by a 125 cc single-cylinder engine coupled with a V-Matic transmission. This engine is capable of churning out impressive power and torque output. For braking duty, the scooter will come with a 220 mm front disc brake and a 130 mm rear disc brake as well. For suspension duty, there will be telescopic front forks.
We believe Honda PCX 125 is going to be a very interesting and premium maxi scooter that could become a trend setter here. If the Japanese two-wheeler brand keeps the pricing of PCX 125 competitive, it could play a crucial role in Honda’s strategy to become India’s number one two-wheeler manufacturer by 2020.
