Yamaha MT25 Expected Launch Date Dec 2019
Yamaha has been a very strong brand in Nepalese two-wheeler market for quite some time and the Japanese brand is emphasizing on increasing its market share here in recent times. A part of that strategy is attributed to launching new and high-performance premium products in the sub-500 cc segment. Following the plan, the brand is keen to launch Yamaha MT-25 naked bike in the country market in coming months. We can expect it to be launched here sometime this year.
The naked streetfighter comes with a sharp and aggressive and bold stance that grabs attention at the very first glimpse. There is a sharp and crafted looking headlamp delivering strong illumination. The fully digital instrument cluster on top of the headlamp adds premiumness and style to the bike, while the sculpted looking fuel tank and tank scoops come adding masculinity to the Yamaha MT-25.
The colour schemes too add style to the bike. It gets a low positioned rider seat that not only gives the rider a comfortable riding stance, but ensures great control over the machine. A stepped up and split pillion seat is also there. At the back, the bike gets split grab rail, a compact and sharp LED taillight. It runs on black alloy wheels with sporty rim decals adding further zing. There is a thick skid plate at the bottom protecting the engine block from scratch.
The Yamaha MT-25 gets power from a 249 cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke, eight-valve, DOHC, inline-twin engine that is coupled with a 6-speed transmission offering swift shifting. This well-performing engine is capable of churning out 35.5 bhp of peak power at 12,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm.
For braking duty, the upcoming Yamaha MT-25 comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. It also gets twin-channel ABS to ensure enhanced protection for the rider. However, there could be a non-ABS variant as well. Suspension duty in this bike is done by telescopic front forks and rear monoshock absorber with multi-step adjustability. The Yamaha MT-25 will compete with tough high-performance rivals like Kawasaki Z250 and Benelli TNT 300. The Yamaha MT-25 comes offering around 30-35 kmpl of fuel efficiency.
