Yamaha MT15 Officially Launched In Nepal

Yamaha’s raw street fighter, the MT15 is a mid-capacity beauty that comes with a new and ravishing paint scheme to make it look more stunning. The engine is duly run by a 847 cc liquid-cooled 3-cylinder motor, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This motorcycle is available in 3 colour choices - blue, grey and black.

The Yamaha MT15 is available in a new white paint scheme and is shaped in a diamond frame. Apparent is the frontend of the MT-09 the design of which is thoroughly inspired by the massive MT-10, reason being the dual LED headlights present in the front and LED tail lights at the rear. The instrument cluster which displays speedometer and the odometer comes digital. The rest of the design stays as it is.

The 2019 Yamaha MT15 is propelled by an 847 cc, 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve powertrain, which is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox which enables for equitable distribution of power and torque. The engine of the motorcycle generates a max power of 115 PS @ 10,000 rpm and the peak torque of 87.5 Nm @ 8500 rpm. The other crucial features comprise a slip and assist clutch, a quick shifter and three riding modes.

The Yamaha MT15 features 298 mm discs brakes at the front and a 245 mm disc brake at the rear end of the vehicle. The disc brakes of this motorcycle really prove its mettle as it requires only 3.74 seconds of time for it to bring its speed from 100 kmph to 0 kmph. As far as safety measures are concerned, there is a dual-channelled ABS that comes as standard.

The Yamaha MT15 claims a mileage of 25.85 kmpl according to the ARAI mileage certification. However, experts claim it to be 23.8 kmpl in the city boulevards and on the highways. The price of MT15 should be more than 5 lakhs. The Yamaha MT-09 rivals against the Kawasaki Z900, Ducati Monster 821, Suzuki GSX-S750 and Triumph Street Triple S.

Yamaha MT-15 will come with a single-piece seat which would be comfortable and can be used for long times in the saddle. The well-designed handle bar will offer ideal ergonomics for easy handling. The fuel tank will provide a good place to grip the tank with your knees. The bike is expected to be equipped with the same fully digital instrument cluster as the R15.

The 2019 Yamaha MT15 performance can’t go without applause as it can accelerate from a standstill to 100 kmph within a matter of 3.79 seconds. The suspension role is well handled by wholly adjustable front forks, which are upside-down, and a preload-adjustable monoshock present at the rear end.
