Skoda Slavia Officially Launched; Nepal Launch Next Month

Skoda Auto has officially launched the all-new Skoda Slavia 1.0L TSI sedan. According to the latest report, the Skoda Slavia in Nepal is set to be reached in March ahead of its launch and its test drives are scheduled to begin immediately. The new Skoda Slavia is developed on the MQB-A0-IN platform like the Skoda Kushaq SUV and will replace the Rapid sedan in Nepal. The Skoda Slavia is one of the 6 different models from Skoda Motors. Bookings have already been opened for Skoda Slavia across a few Asian markets.


Skoda Slavia is equipped with the same engines as the Kushaq. Slavia comes with a 1-liter turbo-petrol engine that generates 115PS and 178Nm of peak torque which includes a 6-speed manual and an optional torque converter while the 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine generates 150PS and 250Nm of peak torque which includes a standard 6-speed MT and an optional 7-speed DSG. The transmission options on the Skoda Slavia include both Manual and Automatic gearbox.




The new Slavia sedan includes new modern features. The Skoda Slavia features a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, ambient interior lighting, touch-based climate controls, a sunroof, cruise control, and ventilated front seat. The Slavia also includes smart-looking LED headlamps and tail lamps, the signature butterfly grille, fog lights, multi-spoke alloy wheels, wrap-around LED taillights, a shark-fin antenna, and a boot-mounted number plate holder. 


In terms of dimension, the sedan is 4541mm long, 1752mm wide, 1487mm tall, and has a 2651mm wheelbase. Its boot space is 521 liters. The Slavia will be the widest sedan in its class including 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Safety is taken care of by up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, hill hold control, rear parking camera with sensors, and tyre pressure monitoring.


The new Skoda Slavia is available in three variants including Active, Ambition, and Style. The Skoda Slavia comes in 5 color options including Crystal Blue, Tornado Red, Candy White, Brilliant Silver, and Carbon Steel.  The Skoda Slavia price in Nepal is expected around Nrs. 50 to 60 Lakhs. Skoda Slavia will rival the likes of Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and Hyundai Verna as well as the upcoming Volkswagen Virtus in the Nepalese market.
