Maruti Suzuki, the undeniable frontrunner in the automotive sector, is gearing up to launch its latest iteration of the Maruti Swift in the near future. Maruti revealed the all-new Swift on the global stage last year, and it's now confirmed that the latest iteration will hit the Indian market next month. The previous iteration of the Swift came with the K Series 1.2-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine, which will now be replaced with the new Z Series 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine. The upcoming Swift with the Z Series engine is expected to have similar power to the current K12 engine, which produces around 90 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. It is expected to come with mild-hybrid tech. The new Swift will continue with the 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox.

The space for the number plate will be larger, and there won't be any contrasting black parts. The design of the alloy wheels will be similar to the version sold in the international market. The mid-spec variants will have a unique wheel design. The C-pillar on the new  Swift will also be all-black with full LED lights.

The upcoming Maruti Swift is expected to be equipped with new safety features. In terms of safety, anticipate that six airbags will come as standard, alongside ABS with EBD and ESP. Additionally, expect three-point seatbelts for rear passengers to be included as standard features. However, it won't include features like a 360-degree camera or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). It will also get all new advanced infotainment systems.
