Chinese manufacturer CFMoto has officially unveiled the new 250 CL-X, a new quarter-liter neo-retro roadster motorbike. The styling and design of the 250 CL-X are completely based on the 700 CL-X, and the major features of the motorcycle have been borrowed from the 250NK. According to the latest report, CFMoto will launch the CL-X in Nepal in the coming months. The new 250 CL-X has retro styling through and through and comes with a new engine and advanced features.
CFMoto 250 CL-X features a 249cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates 28hp and 22Nm, just like in the 250NK. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, which comes with a slipper clutch. In terms of suspension, the new bike comes with an upside-down fork and monoshock, while braking is handled by a disc brake at both ends. The bike also features ABS as a standard braking system. The motorcycle is also equipped with 17-inch wheels on both ends.
The overall styling and features of the 250 CL-X are very much based on the CFMoto 700 CL-X. The 250 CL-X comes with a host of features including LED lighting, fully-digital instrumentation, and ABS. The bike also gets a classic round headlight with a striking X-shaped DRL surrounding it. The handlebar of the bike is set up further higher and a little wider which offers a very relaxed ride. The seat of the bike comes in a single-piece unit and a slightly raised seating position for the pillion riders.
CFMoto is yet to announce the price of the 250CL-X in Nepal even in the international market. There are good odds that CFMoto will launch the CL-X in Nepal very soon. Once launched in Nepal, the 250 CL-X will compete against the likes of Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, the Yezdi Scrambler, the Honda CB350RS, and the upcoming Royal Enfield Scram 411. Although the Chinese brand did not fancy bringing the 700 CL-X to Nepal. Nonetheless, we’ll keep our fingers crossed.
