The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is set to make its grand entrance into the Nepalese market. It has already been introduced in the Indian market, and signs indicate an imminent launch in Nepal. According to the latest rumours, the bike is expected to debut at the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2024. However, Alpha Automotive Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of Royal Enfield motorcycles in Nepal, has not yet provided any specific details regarding its launch. The Meteor 650, with its perfect blend of retro aesthetics and cutting-edge technology, is expected to captivate motorcycle enthusiasts across Nepal.


At the heart of the Super Meteor 650 lies a robust parallel-twin engine. It is powered by a 648cc BS6 engine that generates a maximum power of 47 bhp at 7,250 rpm and a peak torque output of 52.3 Nm at 5,650 rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch. Equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear, it also features dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety. It features 43 mm upside-down forks with 120 mm of travel in the front and twin shock absorbers in the rear, providing 101 mm of travel.


The Super Meteor 650 boasts a design that harks back to the golden age of motorcycling. With its classic lines, teardrop fuel tank, and distinctive chrome accents, the bike exudes a timeless charm. The comfortable cruiser stance, wide handlebars, and low-slung seat enhance its appeal, making it perfect for those who appreciate both style and substance.


The Meteor 650 is also equipped with modern technology. It is equipped with a semi-digital monopod instrument console, complemented by the RE Tripper navigation pod. The bike also features a classic round LED headlight, LED indicators, and an LED taillight. The digital display provides essential information such as the fuel indicator, trip meter, odometer, clock, and gear position indicator.


In terms of dimensions, the bike measures 2,260 mm in length, 890 mm in width, and 1,155 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,500 mm and a seat height of 740 mm. It offers a ground clearance of 165 mm and has a kerb weight of 241 kg. It boasts a fuel tank capacity of 15.7 litres and an anticipated mileage of approximately 35 km per litre. It features 16-inch wheels, with the front tyre measuring 100/90 - 19 M/C 57H and the rear tyre measuring 150/80 B16 M/C 71H. The front disc has a diameter of 320 mm, while the rear disc measures 300 mm in diameter.


The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 10 lakhs. It is available in three variants: Astral, Interstellar and Celestial. It is also available in five colour options Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Grey and Interstellar Green. Additionally, it comes equipped with a touring windscreen, a premium touring seat, and a passenger backrest. Its combination of classic design, modern features, and powerful performance makes it an attractive option for a wide range of riders.
