Volkswagen has again teased its upcoming compact SUV- Volkswagen Taigun on social media platforms ahead of its launch in the Nepalese market. The Volkswagen Taigun has been specifically designed for the Asian markets and will be completely based on the company's MQB A0 IN platform. Pooja International, the only authorized distributor of Volkswagen vehicles in Nepal, has confirmed the arrival of SUV Taigun in the Nepalese market through the Facebook post. The Volkswagen Taigun is available with the Automatic transmission.

The new Volkswagen Taigun is closely related to the T-Cross which will be longer, and more spacious. The 2021 Volkswagen Taigun starting price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 55 Lakhs. Once launched in Nepal, the Taigun will go against rivals like Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, and the Tata Harrier. The initial bookings for SUVs are expected to open in early August with an official launch planned for September 2021. Other Upcoming Volkswagen Models are the New Tiguan, New Tiguan AllSpace and New Polo.
