Jeep Automobile has finally opened bookings for its first seven-seater SUV, the Jeep Meridian in Nepal. MAW Life, the authorized distributor of Jeep vehicles in Nepal, is set to launch this highly anticipated SUV in the coming days and is expected to be a game-changer for Jeep in the Nepalese market. The Jeep brand has a reputation for producing rugged and dependable vehicles, and the Meridian certainly lives up to that reputation. Jeep Meridian is powered by a 2.0L multijet II turbo diesel engine that generates a max power of 170PS at 3750rpm and a max torque of 350Nm at 1750-2500rpm. This engine is mated to a 9-Speed automatic transmission. The Meridian comes with four-wheel drive and a range of off-road features, including skid plates, tow hooks, and a locking rear differential. It is also equipped with a select-terrain management system that gets you various traction modes including sand, mud, snow and auto options. The safety unit includes six airbags, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring, electronic stability control, traction control, rollover mitigation, hill start assist (HSA), hill descent control (HDC) and antilock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD). It includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning. It also includes blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, which can help drivers avoid collisions when changing lanes or backing up. These features ensure maximum safety and security for the both driver and passengers.
