Paramount Motors, the official distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal has officially launched the Hector SUV in Nepal. Paramount Motors announced the launch of the Hector in a press event held in its Naxal showroom. The Hector is produced at MG’s plant in Halol, Gujarat making its debut back in September 2019.  The Hector SUV is available in a total of six variants including Hector Shine MT and CVT, Hector Smart MT and CVT, and Hector Sharp MT and CVT. The Hector is also available in 6-seat and seven-seat configurations.

MG Hector is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that develops 143hp and 250Nm and a Fiat-sourced 2.0-liter diesel that develops 170hp and 350Nm of torque. Hector is mated to a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed DCT, and an 8-step CVT gearbox. According to the company,  the petrol engine also comes in a 48V mild-hybrid guise. The Hector comes in eight colors Glaze Red, Candy White, Starry Back, Aurora Silver, Burgundy Red, and Havana Grey. The first two are available in dual-tone colors with a black roof.
