Five Variants of Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara with Two Battery Options

Maruti Suzuki has launched its first electric SUV the e-Vitara in India with five variants. The 49 kWh battery is available in Delta, Zeta, and Alpha trims while the 61 kWh battery comes in Zeta and Alpha. The company has yet to announce official pricing but plans to open bookings soon. This variety allows buyers to choose between efficiency or extended range based on their driving needs.

Flexible Ownership with Battery as a Service

Maruti Suzuki introduces a Battery as a Service BaaS model similar to MG. Buyers pay only for the car while subscribing separately to the battery. The subscription cost is calculated based on kilometers driven. This flexible approach makes EV ownership more accessible and cost-effective for a wide range of customers.

Premium Interior Features for Comfort and Convenience

The e-Vitara interior combines modern design and technology. Key features include a floating touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver display, panoramic sunroof, twin-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger, and a powered driver seat. The Infinity premium audio system completes the luxury cabin experience.

Advanced Safety Features with 5-Star NCAP Rating

Safety is a top priority for the e-Vitara. It comes with seven airbags, Level 2 ADAS driver assistance, high-tensile steel structure, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake with auto hold, disc brakes on all wheels, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The SUV has achieved a 5-star safety rating in India NCAP crash tests, setting a benchmark in its segment.

Launch Timeline for India and Nepal

The e-Vitara was showcased in Nepal at the NADA Auto Show. Sales in India are expected to start in January with Nepal deliveries following in February. This ensures the SUV reaches regional markets shortly after its Indian debut, offering EV enthusiasts early access to Maruti Suzuki’s first electric SUV.

Maruti Suzuki’s e-Vitara stands out in the electric SUV market with versatile battery options, advanced safety, premium interiors, and a flexible BaaS ownership model. With its 5-star safety rating and high-tech cabin, it is positioned to attract both tech-savvy and environmentally conscious buyers across India and Nepal.
