A Rugged EV Making Big Noise Worldwide

The ICAR V23 is quickly becoming a headline maker. Built under Chery’s ICAR sub-brand, this compact electric SUV draws instant attention with its sharp design and tough off-road posture. It has earned strong hype across China, Europe and Asia thanks to its bold style and intelligent engineering.

The biggest talking point now is the confirmation that the V23 supports battery swapping technology, a massive upgrade for fast-paced EV markets.

Faster Energy With No Waiting

The V23’s global documents submitted to China’s MIIT confirm that it supports fast battery swapping. Drivers can switch a drained battery with a fully charged one in just minutes and skip long charging sessions entirely.

This positions the V23 as a future ready EV, especially appealing for busy cities where swapping stations are growing rapidly. However, the battery swapping model will not be coming to Nepal, where the standard charging setup will be offered instead.

Sales Begin This December

The V23 previewed in Nepal months earlier is now set for official launch this December. SPG Automobiles has already attracted strong early bookings, especially from young buyers aged between 25 and 40 who love rugged lifestyle vehicles.

The brand aims to sell the ICAR V23 at under NPR 47 lakh, making it one of the most aggressively priced adventure style EVs in the market.

Tough, Boxy, Ready for Trails

The ICAR V23’s styling is its biggest charm. It wears a pure off-road look with squared panels and sturdy details. Every component feels built for action.

Standout Exterior Touches

  • Smoked front grille with a squared off face

  • Round LED headlamps that give vintage adventure vibes

  • Hidden door handles that keep the body clean

  • Roof luggage rack for outdoor hauls

  • External storage container for added utility

  • Chunky wheel arches and tough cladding

It is the kind of EV that looks ready for the mountains even when parked in the city.

Big Screen Comfort With Smart Utility

Step inside and the V23 switches from rugged to refined. The cabin is modern, tech heavy and loaded with practical storage options.

Interior Highlights

  • 15.4 inch center touchscreen powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155

  • Ventilated electric front seats

  • 7 speaker audio system

  • 90 liter underfloor trunk

  • Extra under seat compartment

  • Automatic parking assist

  • Driver assistance package

The overall feel is crisp, intelligent and surprisingly premium for this price point.

100 kW RWD Strength With 400 km Range

The ICAR V23 runs on a 100 kW rear wheel drive motor paired with a 60 kWh LFP battery, offering an estimated 400 km range. The setup ensures smooth highway driving and enough muscle for steep climbs and tough terrains.

Off Road Specs

  • Ground clearance 205 mm

  • Approach angle 43 degrees

  • Departure angle 41 degrees

These angles make the V23 capable of handling off road obstacles with ease.

Compact SUV With Big Presence

Feature Value
Length 4220 mm
Width 1915 mm
Height 2735 mm
Ground Clearance 205 mm

The V23 hits the sweet spot between city friendly size and trail ready proportions.

The ICAR V23 stands out as a bold, tech rich and highly capable electric SUV with undeniable lifestyle appeal. Its global battery swapping capability adds futuristic value, while the Nepal version remains a strong offering for buyers seeking an affordable, rugged and stylish EV that can handle both city life and adventure routes.
