BS6 Yamaha FZ25 To Launch In Nepal In August 2020
The BS6 Yamaha FZ25 was revealed by the brand a few days ago in parallel to the launch of the 2020 MT-15. The latest reports suggest that the updated motorcycle will be officially launched sometime in August 2020. The motorcycle is expected to get a minor premium of NRS 50,000 to 70,000 over its BS4 price tag which currently stands at NRS 3.90 lakhs in the Nepalese market.
The updated motorcycle variant will be available to the customers in two new colour schemes namely Metallic Black and Racing Blue. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with an all-new LED headlight unit with a bi-functional technology. The BS6 model has been further equipped with a side-stand engine cut-off switch that prevents the rider from starting the motorcycle if the side stand is down. In addition to this, the BS6 Yamaha FZ25 has been equipped with an updated instrument console with a negative LCD.
Mechanically, the bike is powered by the similar 249cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that is now BS6-compliant and is capable of offering maximum power of 20.9HP @ 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 20Nm @ 6,000 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The performance figures of the BS6 Yamaha FZ25 remain similar to the ones offered by its BS4 counterpart. The braking department is handled by disc brakes at either side mated to dual-channel ABS as before. The suspension setup includes the similar telescopic forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with a monoshock unit.
In addition to the unveiling of the BS6 Yamaha FZ25, the brand has also unveiled the premium variant of the motorcycle that is christened as FZS25 that has been equipped with touring-oriented features. The motorcycle will be available to the customers in Metallic White, Dark Blue, and Dark Green colour schemes and will be launched at a later stage with a higher price tag when compared to the standard FZ25 variant.
