BS6 2020 Kawasaki Z650 Officially Launched

The BS6 2020 Kawasaki Z650 has been officially launched. Though the brand has not revealed the exact price tag of the motorcycle, according to the official press release, it will be priced between 15 to 20 lakhs. Coming to the design language, the motorcycle has been adorned with a sleeker profile in addition to getting a minimalistic front fairing. The front fascia of the motorcycle now features an LED headlight unit, which is one of the most anticipated updates expected from the Japanese brand for the 2020 Z650.

The all-new coloured TFT instrument console offered to the motorcycle replaces the standard unit seen on the previous-gen model. The all-new display features Kawasaki’s Economical Riding Indicator in addition to getting a gear position indicator, fuel gauge, shift-lamp and more. The BS6 2020 Kawasaki Z650 can be further connected to a dedicated application with the use of Bluetooth-enabled console, specifically featuring GPS for auto-location detection, vehicle service status and other riding stats.

Mechanically, the 2020 model of the Kawasaki Z650 is powered by a BS6-compliant 649cc, parallel-twin cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 68HP @ 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 64NM @ 6700 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The company claimed mileage of the bike stands at 22.22kmpl. Like most of the premium brands, Kawasaki dealers are also offering massive year-end discounts to clear the BS4/MY2019 stock.

The Z650 is the best suitable upgrade for riders currently riding under middleweight segment motorcycles. Now is the time to own the roads with the all-new Z650. Kawasaki motorcycles possess both power and grace so are often recognised as being different to other bikes. This results from certain guiding principles adopted at the design stage.

Highlights of the all-new MY21 Z650 are:

  1. 649cc parallel-twin engine (Cleaner Emissions)
  2. Z “Sugomi” styling (consist of a crouching stance, low-positioned head and upswept tail.)
  3. LED Headlamps
  4. TFT colour instrumentation
  5. Smartphone connectivity via RIDEOLOGY THE APP
  6. Dunlop Sportsmax Roadsport 2 tyres
