Hyundai has just launched the CNG variant of Grand i10 Nios. The hatchback is available in two trims – Magna and Sportz. Hyundai Grand i10 Nios was launched back in August 2019 with three engine options on offer. Exhibiting a sporty design language, the Hyundai i10 N Line gets unique red accents on the body cladding that continues to the interior as well. The front grille has now been redesigned and features red graphics on the inside while the sportier bumper and the 16-inch alloy wheels add to its exclusive styling.
Mechanically, the vehicle gets a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, petrol engine which churns out 69HP of maximum power and 95Nm of peak torque. Compared to the standard petrol model of the hatchback, the CNG model generates 14HP and 19Nm less power and torque respectively. Hyundai is offering the CNG variants of the Grand i10 Nios with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The standard petrol model, however, is available with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
Coming to the equipment list, there is no change when compared to the standard petrol model of the hatchback. The Magna version of the car gets equipped with central locking system, speed-sensing door locks, day/night IRVM, keyless entry, tilt-adjustable steering, rear AC vents, and a 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth support. The higher-spec Sportz variant gets additional features like projector fog lights, a reverse parking camera, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
